January, 2022 School Bus Riders of the Month

Adriana A.

Adriana is a 4th grader on the Pig bus. Adriana is always courteous and willing to help.

Lauryn A.

Lauryn is an 8th grader that rides the Rooster bus. Lauryn is very quiet and respectful and her driver enjoys having her on the bus.

Leticia A.

Leticia is a 10th grader that rides the Transfer bus in the afternoons. Leticia is always courteous and watches over the Preschoolers as they transfer from their bus over to the Transfer Bus.

Lexie O.

Lexie is an 11th grader that rides the Rooster bus. Lexie always sits in her seat correctly and is polite and respectful, she is a joy to have on the bus.  

Lesli P.

Lesli is a 7th grader on the Elephant bus. Lesli is always on time to the bus and very polite.

Juliana P.

Juliana is a 6^th grader on the Elephant bus. Juliana is very polite and is good and does not argue when she is asked to sit still.

Michael R.

Michael is a 7th grader on the Horse bus. Michael has been really good on the bus.

Ethan W.

Ethan is a 10th grader that rides the Butterfly bus. Ethan is always polite and well behaved. 

Bus Driver Spotlight

Melissa Walantyn

Melissa is the driver of the Squirrel bus, which covers the East side of the City of Bangor, out to the Northeast end of our district, near Scott Lake.

Melissa started Driving for Bangor Public Schools in 2014. You can also see Melissa in our High School kitchen, as she also work for the Food Services department. Melissa is also a volunteer in many of her children’s activities. She is a caring driver who always does extra things to help the Transportation Department.

Custodian & Maintenance Spotlight

Ron Rouse

Ron Rouse has worked at Bangor Schools for 45 years. He works in the  Custodial Maintenance department, with responsibilities at South Walnut Elementary, the Community Education building, Apple Tree Preschool and our Head Start building. Ronalso assists with the maintenance and upkeep of the entire district. Ron does an excellent job with his tireless commitment to Bangor Public Schools!
