BHS seniors gathered this morning for the senior sunrise breakfast to begin their final year of high school together. 🌞

South Walnut families, please read this important information regarding morning car drop off procedures for the upcoming school year: South Walnut Car Loop Update South Walnut’s car loop will continue to the area by the gym. Students will enter the building through the doors located next to the gym. 🚫 Do not use the back loop – this area is for buses only. ✅ Car Loop Directions: Cars will enter on the right side at the far south end of S. Walnut Street. Follow the route, snaking around the lot, and pull all the way to the end of the sidewalk. Students should exit on the passenger side of the vehicle. Students are to stay in their vehicle until staff helps them out. If your child needs assistance or you must get out of your car, please park in a designated parking space rather than using the car loop. 👷 Staff will work quickly to help students in and out of vehicles to keep the line moving. 🚦 When exiting the loop, you must turn right only to exit onto S. Walnut Street toward CR 681. There is a sign indicating no left turns. 📍 Here is a map for your reference:

An amazing achievement for the BHS Class of 2026: We had 85% of the Class of 2026 apply to college this past year and received the title of MCAN College Access Champions!

The MCAN (Michigan College Access Network) designates high schools as College Access Champion Sites through its College Bound Michigan initiative when they hit high benchmarks for college and financial aid readiness. Congrats, Vikings!

The following is a message from high school principal Wilson: Dear BHS Students and Families, Welcome back, Vikings! We hope everyone has had an amazing summer filled with fun, relaxation, and time with family and friends. It’s hard to believe that a new school year is almost here, and we are excited to welcome our students back to Bangor High School! We have a lot to look forward to this year—new opportunities, great activities, Viking athletics, school spirit, and plenty of chances to make some great memories along the way! Here are a few important dates to get on your calendar as we get ready to kick off the 2026–2027 school year: 🎉 August 26 – District Open House | 4:00–6:00 PM Come meet your teachers, find your classrooms, and get ready for the new year! We are excited to see our students and families back in the building. 🎒 August 26 – Backpack & School Supply Giveaway | 6:00–7:30 PM Backpacks and school supplies will be available following the Open House. 🔔 August 31 – FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! The first day of school will be a half day. We will run a 1-7 period day that includes breakfast and lunch. Come ready for a great start to the year! TECH CENTER Students first day will be September 1st. ☀️ September 4 & 7 – NO SCHOOL There will be no school Friday, September 4 or Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day.
