BHS Seniors took a trip to the Southwestern Michigan College, for a college fair today. Over 50 colleges were in attendance.

Join us for the 2026 Mini Vipers Cheer Clinic, it will include learning cheers, stunts, and a dance with Bangor Varsity Cheer. 1st-5th graders can experience a Varsity football game and cheer with the team during the 1st half of the game October 16th. The $20 fee includes a bow for each cheerleader to wear. To sign your child up please scan the QR code or use the link to submit the form, payment will be due at the first practice. Practices are October 12th-14th 6-7:30 pm.

Gone Boarding update from Mr. Meyers:

"Bangor Gone Boarding Students have been in the working in the shop for weeks patiently waiting for waves. We couldn’t wait any longer, and decided to do some paddle practice and pop-up practice. The water was ice cold so the wet suits came in handy. Everybody had a great time got a good workout and a small polar plunge."

Bangor staff and students will be able to get free entry to Van Buren Vipers Football home games in Lawrence, and Lawrence students and staff will get the same free entry for home games at Bangor. You MUST have your school-issued ID with you for free entry.

After monitoring the conditions and projected heat index for the beginning of our soccer games tonight, we have made the decision to cancel both the middle school and varsity contests with Hartford. An announcement for rescheduling will be made at a later date.
As of now, middle school volleyball vs Marcellus is still on for 6pm, Mr. Cameron will be in contact with Marcellus over the next few hours to make a final decision.
All practices are still on as planned, pending the measured heat index at the end of the school day.

BHS seniors gathered this morning for the senior sunrise breakfast to begin their final year of high school together. 🌞

South Walnut families, please read this important information regarding morning car drop off procedures for the upcoming school year: South Walnut Car Loop Update South Walnut’s car loop will continue to the area by the gym. Students will enter the building through the doors located next to the gym. 🚫 Do not use the back loop – this area is for buses only. ✅ Car Loop Directions: Cars will enter on the right side at the far south end of S. Walnut Street. Follow the route, snaking around the lot, and pull all the way to the end of the sidewalk. Students should exit on the passenger side of the vehicle. Students are to stay in their vehicle until staff helps them out. If your child needs assistance or you must get out of your car, please park in a designated parking space rather than using the car loop. 👷 Staff will work quickly to help students in and out of vehicles to keep the line moving. 🚦 When exiting the loop, you must turn right only to exit onto S. Walnut Street toward CR 681. There is a sign indicating no left turns. 📍 Here is a map for your reference:

An amazing achievement for the BHS Class of 2026: We had 85% of the Class of 2026 apply to college this past year and received the title of MCAN College Access Champions!

The MCAN (Michigan College Access Network) designates high schools as College Access Champion Sites through its College Bound Michigan initiative when they hit high benchmarks for college and financial aid readiness. Congrats, Vikings!
