The Michigan Legislature has ruled on snow day make-ups for the year. Our school year will be extended one week to make-up our extra five snow days. The last day of school for Bangor Public Schools will be on Friday, June 13, 2014.
Two-Hour delay procedures
If we have a two-hour delay, school will start at 9:55 a.m. The busses will run two hours later than normal. If your bus usually comes at 6:45 a.m., it will come at 8:45 a.m. during a delay. Simple as that.
The National Honor Society will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. in the HS annex building. Please contact Vicki Putnik at email@example.com or via phone at 427-6844 ext 1025 if you have any questions.
SENIORS: The Viking Incentive Program (VIP) service learning hours must be turned in to Mrs. Grabovac by Thursay, May 1, 2014.
GEAR-UP scholarship recipients from 2011, 2012 and 2013 may renew their scholarships after June 1, 2014 by providing Mr. Melvin with a current EFC page from the FAFSA and a cumulative gpa. The scholarship will be mailed directly to the college or university the first week of August. We must also have information if you have changed schools. Please feel free to call or email Mr. Melvin if you have any questions.
Book scholarships are reimbursed when the recipient provides the business office with a copy of their class schedule and receipts for their textbooks. Please call Mrs. Pobuda at 427-6800 ext 1104 for an appointment.
Sports physicals are available at the Bangor Health Center located in the middle school. Please call 427-6810 to make an appointment for a sports physical. Hours are 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. All athletes must have a physical on file with the athletic office before they may participate in any practice.
If you would like to schedule a personal meeting with Mr. Melvin, Mr. Paquette or Mrs. Tremblay, please call our secretary, Ms. Renee Ward, to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will only be seen if we have time available. All visitors are asked to sign in at the office when entering the high school. Student safety is our first concern and we ask that you honor that concern by checking in at the office upon arrival. Thank you for respecting the saftey of our students!
Transcript requests require 48 hour notice with written authorization. All other information requests (DHS forms, SSI forms, copies of personal records, DREAM Act documentation,etc.) also require 48 hour notice. We DO NOT have a copy of your diploma. The only copy was the one given to you when you graduated. Please plan ahead so that we may properly serve you.
Graduation for the Class of 2014 will be Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
